Thanks for clicking on my webpage!
My name is Rowena Brandeis. I have been a travel agent since 1995. In those 20 years I have seen enormous change and development in the travel industry and have learnt about the intricate in’s and out’s and how to get the best deal, at the right time, for the specific needs of each individual traveller.
After finishing a BSC and BA, I left New Zealand planning to be away for one year however, once bitten by the travel bug I ended up travelling for over four years. In those four years, I got to travel in many different ways- From a tour in Turkey, a camper van around Europe, to a working holiday in the Austrian Alps in winter. I went off the beaten track, took risks, learnt about bargain hunting but most importantly learnt about travelling in style and how to make my money go further.
By the time I returned home, I had fallen for the unexpected.
A career in travel was the logical choice! I have now travelled to over fifty countries. I will never forget sitting with mountain gorillas in The Congo or watching the sun rise over the Sun Gate at Macchu Pichu. I cherish the memory of Zanzibar and the surreal feeling of exploring the old city of Hue, Vietnam. I have always and will always look for the ultimate experience for my clients as I have for myself.
In recent years, I have taken great delight in exploring the world with my husband & two daughters. I have taken them to three of my favourite cities -San Francisco, London & Paris. Incredible to see through their eyes.
We also had four nights in Morocco where the girls rode on a camel & ate sea food on the walls of the old Portuguese town of Essaouira. We also explored the fascinating city of Marrakech.
The girls have also been fortunate to enough to travel to Rarotonga, the Gold Coast and Los Angeles. Travelling with children has been a great experience as a travel agent as I now have first hand knowledge of how to get the most out of an overseas holiday with children.
The past three Januaries, I have greatly enjoyed skiing as a family in Canada. We have skied at Sun Peaks, Silver Star, Panorama and Banff. I love the long, wide ski runs, great snow conditions and fun après ski family activities such as ice skating, snow tubing and sled rides.
Now that the girls are teenagers, we are going to try a different cultural experience and are planning our next ski holiday to Hakuba, Japan.
Working from home I am flexible with my working hours. Generally my office hours are 9am – 3pm Monday to Friday but I am also available outside of these hours. Many of my long term clients value being able to arrange their travel at times outside of normal travel shop times. I am happy to travel as far as the Hutt Valley or Porirua to visit clients.
I look forward to hearing from you for any of your travel needs-Big, small, business or family.
