My name is Joanna Devereux, and I have over 30 years’ experience in the travel industry, although some say I was born with a passion for travel in my blood! I had the privilege of having a father in the airline industry which resulted in spending over half of my childhood living overseas and receiving wonderful opportunities to travel with my family to many exciting destinations. Once out on my own, I gained my BCom from University but there was never really any doubt of the career for me – Travel was it! I began as a retail consultant for Budget Travel, later moving to American Express Travel and then Qantas Airways – all the while extending my own travel experience with numerous famils and personal trips. As a result, I have a wealth of experience selling all types including family vacations, quick breaks, group travel, romantic sojourns, cruises, adventure holidays and corporate travel.

Since I became a mother to our three gorgeous daughters, I gained a personal appreciation of the different demands created by travelling with children. We were lucky to have been able to have travelled a lot as a family and our trips each left us with special memories that will last us a lifetime. That is also what I aim to achieve for my clients with their trips. As our girls grew, I’ve also gained my own experience in the travelling with children at all ages from babies right up to teenagers (and if you thought travelling with a toddler was sometimes tricky, I can tell you that travelling with a teenage girl can be just as testing at times!) Therefore, I feel that I’m well equipped to help you plan your ideal family vacation.

However, I’m more than willing and capable to help with all types of travel requests. I have a lot of experience booking couples, singles, groups and, as nearly empty nesters now,  my husband and I are back to travelling as a couple.  Whilst I’m based in Wellington, technology enables me to contact my clients from throughout New Zealand and the world by phone, video calls, courier and e-mail.
