Day 3: New Orleans to Montgomery Experience the laidback, sandy side of Mississippi travelling through its Coastal region. Continue to the grand dame of Alabama’s Gulf Coast, Mobile. Overnight in Montgomery.
Days 4-5: Montgomery to Nashville Head to Nashville, a city that sizzles with American music, Southern hospitality, unbelievable cuisine and a boundless spectrum of nightlife. Spend the next two nights in Nashville.
Day 6: Nashville to Memphis Head to Memphis, the home of the blues. This city combines the charms of the Old South with the exciting pace of a modern metropolis. Overnight in Memphis.
Day 7: Memphis to Vicksburg Visit Vicksburg National Military Park, the nation’s largest burial site of Civil War Union soldiers and sailors. Overnight in Vicksburg.
Day 8: Vicksburg to Natchez Drive south on the Natchez Trace. Then to Natchez, the oldest settlement in the state of Mississippi. Overnight in Natchez.
Day 9: Natchez to Lafayette Travel to Lafayette and discover landmark buildings, or take a short drive to Acadian Village overlooking the bayou and filled with authentically restored Cajun homes and churches. Overnight in Lafayette.
Day 10: Lafayette to New Orleans Drive to New Iberia and Avery Island, the birthplace of Tabasco sauce. Overnight in New Orleans.
Day 11: New Orleans Return the rental vehicle today.
